All aboard for Tuy Hoa

well...i leave in about 20 minutes for the bus (which i found out is a sleeper bus so am very excited i get to stretch out) and i'm nervous and excited and scared and thrilled that i'm finally get a move on and am getting closer to starting the placement...I hate that i've wasted 2 days with travel but thems the breaks....
I have to admit i will miss the girls that i have already met...they are all such characters in their own way and it's nice to be around all girls that are a bit more mature than my last placement...it's kind of felt like a slumber party for the last 2 nights and it was really strange having to say good bye to people over the past two mornings....
Yesterday during orientation we learned about Viet (the man who has established this program), he is lovely and meeting him in person is quite inspiring....we learn about the program itself, a typical day, and how just $460 buys 2 sets of bunk beds with mattresses and pillows for the young kids who had been sleeping on beds without mattresses (just laying directly on the wooden slats!!!)....
for those of you who have given to my fundraising i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and for those of you who have not considered or have forgotten i am pleading that you consider a small donation as the conditions these children live in are appauling and even though Viet does what he can the only way they can make a difference is with the volunteers and the fundraising....please consider giving to this charity as soon as possible. I will be speaking with the volunteer co-ordinator Nuin once i have established what the orphange needs and i will post pictures of the improvements and purchases made with the money donated...you will get to see first hand where your money has been spent....
Ok, i think i've gone on enough about that....but do look out for the email i'll be sending with my bank details....just in case you want to give....think about it....4 little kids get to sleep on bunk beds with mattresses and pillows and even a drawer each just for them..and it only costs $460.....
ok, have to go and now annoy you by email for donations....will post once i get to Tuy Hoa with my first impressions....wish me luck on my sleeper bus (Harry Potter style!!!).....
